I was having difficulty getting Windows 10 to recognize my CPS1500AVR UPS and attempted to update the driver. Hp Laserjet 3050 Scanner Driver For Windows 10. Unfortunately in the process, the composite battery device and/or driver was deleted and I cannot seem to get Windows 10 to automatically reinstall it.
Scanning for hardware changes does not detect/install the battery device. Is there a way to get this device/driver restored without creating havoc in the OS (i.e. Overwrite current settings and configurations). I noticed that the 'Microsoft Composite battery' driver is missing. This is what I have done to try and fix the problem (not in order). Ran the system recovery which took me back to windows 8.1, updated everything then moved to windows 10 64-bt. Replaced the battery (it was due for a replacement anyway). Microsoft Composite Battery Driver is a kernel mode driver. If Microsoft Composite Battery Driver fails to load or initialize, the error is logged and the computer attempts to restart with the LastKnownGood configuration. Mount and blade warband mods with guns. If the LastKnownGood configuration fails, Windows Vista startup also fails, and the boot process halts with a Stop error.

I do have a Windows 7 box that is working correctly with the same UPS unit, and Windows 7 identifies the device on the Control Panel Device Manager under 'Batteries' heading with a signature of: Driver provider: CyberPower Date: Version: 2.3.0.0 Signer: Microsoft Hardware Compatibility Publisher. When I click for Driver details, it says no driver is required, and yet there is an option to uninstall the device. That is the option I took in Windows 10 that started this whole issue (though Windows 10 was not able to establish communication to the UPS via the USB interface). Both Windows 7 and Windows 10 showed the same information prior to my selection of the 'uninstall the device' on the Windows 10 machine.

It does not have a battery. The COM1 port is connect to a UPS device but, without the UPS communications driver, it should not show up as a battery.
- Right click Start to open Device Manager, under Battery choose the battery device, then Driver tab, then if available Roll Back the driver. If not available, choose Uninstall Driver, restart PC to reinstall.

Devices controlled by battery miniclass drivers include batteries and some UPS devices. Batteries can be primary (nonrechargeable) or secondary (rechargeable) cells. A UPS is, in essence, a system battery with a much larger capacity and a different alert threshold than a laptop battery.

The composite battery driver keeps track of the status of all the batteries in the system and acts as an intermediary between the power manager and the battery class/miniclass drivers. The composite battery driver receives IRPs from the power manager and notifies the power manager when the battery status changes (for example, when system battery power becomes critically low).
